* The Farkle box counts three 1s as 300. Most groups and apps count them as 1,000. Only dice from the same roll make a combination: a 5 set aside, then two more 5s, is 150, not three 5s.
How a turn works
- Roll all six dice.
- Set aside at least one scoring die, then bank your points or roll the rest.
- If a roll has nothing that scores, that’s a Farkle: the turn is worth 0.
- Hot dice: once all six are set aside, roll all six again and keep adding.
- Most groups need 500 in one turn to get on the board.
- First to 10,000, then everyone else gets one last turn to beat it.
Charts vary
- Box rules: three 1s = 300.
- Phone-app style: four of a kind doubles three of a kind (four 2s = 400, five 2s = 800), a straight is 1,000, three pairs 750, and three farkles in a row cost 1,000.
How to use it
- Print one for each table and keep it next to the dice.
- If your group scores something differently, write your number in the Our chart column. Groups disagree most about three 1s, four, five and six of a kind, three pairs and the straight.
- Write your house rules at the bottom: the minimum to get on the board, any penalty for three farkles in a row, and anything else your group plays.
Print at 100% (Actual size) on US Letter paper. On A4, choose Fit to page. It prints well in black and white.
Skip the paper: the app keeps score for you
Farkle Circle is the app for Farkle nights. The scorekeeper types the points each player banks, or taps Farkle, and the app keeps every total, shows who goes next and knows when it’s the last turns. Your group’s scoring chart is on the screen to settle “what’s three pairs worth?”, and the winners add up all season.
Free to join, RSVP and keep score. The live scoreboard and season stats are an optional upgrade, per person.
